Finding Courage

The sea around my personal ship over the last five months has been extremely treacherous.
Moving across the country, handling the deaths of my father, little sister, nephew,
 & mother, while dealing with a few wolfs in sheep's clothing;
 I have heard the word
 "Courage"
 more than ever before.
This has me thinking a bit more about the meaning of the word, Courage.

Courage — noun
1. The power or quality of dealing with or facing danger, fear, pain, etc.
2. The courage of one's convictions..  the confidence to act in accordance with one's beliefs.
3. Take one's courage in both hands.. to nerve oneself to perform an action.

Courage can be found as a gift, given to those who choose to face fear in life.
I wish you courage in all you choose to face this week.

This Above All

A new week has arrived, and with it an opportunity to progress beyond our current reality.

The Shakespeare quote above serves as a reminder to listen to your own inner voice.
Do not allow yourself to be drowned out by excess outside noise.
If you look for inner satisfaction from the approval of others, you will be forever lost.
Stay true to yourself, because there are very few people that will be true to you.

The Power Of Kindness

The new year gives everyone an opportunity to reexamine our thoughts, words, and actions.
All that we see in our lives started as one simple thought, that was expressed by words, and came to be though actions. This world that we live in is full of ups and downs. Simple acts of kindness have huge impacts.
A smile can become an act of kindness for yourself and others around you.
Simple everyday actions like,
holding a door open for the person behind you shows kindness.
Sending a text to an old friend just to say hello, I am thinking of you, shows kindness.
If we try to have a bit more patience and consideration for others we share the world with
it might help to make the day a little easier.
