The Gothic Quarter, in Barcelona is beyond captivating.
Every corner has an historic story to be told.
Among the remains of ancient Roman civilization, the modern world continues
in the maze of narrow streets.

In 1963, five adjoining houses dating from the 13th century opened to the public.
The Pablo Picasso museum was born.

Perhaps best known for his abstract work in the cubist movement, early work shows Picasso had a strong talent for life like portraits and serene landscapes.

"There is no abstract art. You must always start with something. Afterwards you can remove all traces of reality. There's no danger then, anyway, because the idea of the object will have left an indelible mark." -Pablo Picasso

The collection of over 4,00 pieces is a comprehensive body of work.
from portraits, to work from the Blue period, Rose period, and a print collection.
